Anthony Orio has come a long way since bursting onto the Nashville scene as an up and coming singer/songwriter featured by ASCAP’s “Hot On The Row Series.” His unique blend of country and Philly soul creates a fresh new sound. Known for his electrifying live performances and strong ability to connect with crowds, his talent has led him to perform at The Grand Ole Opry, The Ryman Auditorium, The Bluebird Café, and become a top draw on Nashville’s world famous Lower Broadway. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Orio moved to Nashville at the age of 18 and has made a name for himself as an independent singer/songwriter and touring artist. Orio has released three independent projects. His most recent EP, “Undeniable” debuted at #14 on the iTunes Country Chart and also made the Top 100 on the All Genres Chart. Spotify featured the title track from that EP on its “Wild Country” playlist and the song has had over 100k streams. Orio’s previous singles “Those Nights, These Days” and “Walkin’ On Whiskey” both enjoyed success on SiriusXM’s The Highway and XM Radio featured Orio as an “On The Horizon” artist. Orio spends most of his time on stage, averaging over 200 shows per year. These concerts have taken this road warrior to stages throughout North America, from Georgia to Canada and beyond, playing venues that range from crowd-packed clubs to Country Music festivals to casino show rooms. “For me, there is no place I would rather be than on stage, sharing music with an audience,” says Orio. “The energy that comes from a live show is the ultimate high.” Orio’s motto has been to earn fans “one kick ass show at a time,” and it is this mentality that has helped Orio and his band, The Goodfellers, to be named Best Band in Nashville by The Tennessean’s Toast Of Music City Awards, four consecutive years, and landing him in the top three behind Lady Antebellum and Kings Of Leon in two additional years. In addition to his work as an artist, Orio has enjoyed success as a songwriter with cuts by Grammy award-winning Country Music legend Ray Stevens as well as former RCA recording artist Andy Griggs, and Curb Records newcomer Tim Dugger. Over the years, Sony Music, Universal Music, RPM Music, Major Bob Music, and several other publishing companies, have published Orio’s songs. Former Sony A&R rep Duane Hobson has said, “Anthony Orio’s music vision is unbelievable! His song writing and stage performance is exactly what the music industry needs and wants from a talented singer/songwriter!”
