Widely Grown is where Americana and Country cross paths, creating a distinct sound, dubbed as Garden State Americana. Less than a year out from their self-titled debut, they’ve found themselves selling out monthly residencies, and packing bars and clubs on the same basis. Widely Grown is led by founding member and singer-songwriter, James Calleo, whom NJ.com dubbed “one of Hudson Counties most engaging singer-songwriters over the last few years.” Drums and upright bass complete the rhythm section, with a variety of lead instruments capping off the sound.
Summer 2022 had them traveling across the midwest on a 10 show/11 day tour. Picking up friends and fans along the way due to their down-home and inviting nature. They vibrate with the likes of Zach Brown, Railroad Earth, and the Grateful Dead to name a few. A little country. A little grass. A little rock. And a lot in between.
